Skin and its care throughout the year

When the sun goes up
The cloths go down.

It is common for this part of the year to think about what to do to protect ourselves from too strong sun rays. It is a paradox, however, that very little is said about the content and harm of the products themselves that are marketed.

Hardly anyone thinks that the skin is our biggest and most mistreated organ. What we put on is „thirstily" sunk in, and whether we like it or not, reaches vital organs not thinking about the long-term results of such an exposure.

It is wonderful that you — as a healthy food seeker — take care of what you put in your mouth. Then why don’t you observe this simple practice on what you put your skin? You must be aware that every food you eat is filtered by the liver to some extent. What you put on the skin, however, joins the bloodstream and lymph and from there directly to all organs. That's why the toxic ingredients that gush in mass-produced body care products may have a short-term aesthetic effect, but they all have a devastating effect on the whole body on a long run.

To narrow down my understanding of body products to simple terms, I would say:

What you put on your skin should be edible.

And speaking about this, I think of the medical terms that have gained popularity: "external" and "oral" (shorten from Latin "peroral" — "through the mouth"). In other words, pharmacy professes the idea that you can put "anything" on your skin as long as it does not get through your mouth. This is the mother of all evil. Assuming that the skin is like a firewall is at the core of this double standard, which is why we hurt ourselves every day by reaching for the sunscreen, conditioner or body lotion.

Here are some "side effects" of using mass cosmetics

  • Cancer;
  • Headache;
  • Dizziness;
  • Asthma;
  • Allergies;
  • Reproductive toxicity;
  • Impairing brain development;
  • Impairing skin ability to release toxins;
  • Hormone disruption;
  • Cellular damage;
  • Low birth weight;
  • Endocrine disruption
  • Immune system damage;
  • Respiratory problems;
  • Liver, kidney and lung damage

Without further introductory words, I’m announcing that I’ve created a new category on my recipes page, called "Body Care". I want to assure you that there is no room for double standards. What I have posted corresponds to my view that

If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin
.

I'm glad from you in the comment section below this post, how you look after your skin.
