Ingredients
- 1¼ kg boneless pork;
- 600 g peas (frozen or canned);
- 200 g baby carrots (frozen or canned);
- 1 onion;
- 3-4 cloves garlic;
- 1 can chopped tomatoes;
- 75 g lard;
- 2 tsp red paprika powder;
- ½ tsp black pepper;
- 1-2 tsp salt
Directions
- Finely chop the onion, garlic and cut the meat into bite-sized pieces;
- Open the cans and sauté the onion with 100 ml of pea broth. Add salt;
- Add the meat in portions and continue stirring. When you have added all the meat, add more broth and/or water, just enough to lightly cover the meat;
- Reduce the heat to medium and let the meat simmer (30 minutes);
- Add the peas, and carrots, stir, and increase the heat to high;
- When it boils, add the spices, garlic and tomatoes. Stir and reduce the heat to simmer until the dish is fully cooked (5-10 minutes);
- Serve hot, on deep plates, with some of the sauce, if desired.
