Pea Dhal

Ingredients

  • 500 g frozen peas
  • 1 l water
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cayanne pepper
  • ½ tsp. cumin
  • ½ tsp. turmeric
  • ½ tsp. sweet curry
  • ½ tsp. ginger powder
  • sea salt to taste
  • fresh dill to taste

Directions

  1. Steam to soft the chopped onion with oil and water;
  2. At hot water and bring to boil;
  3. At unfrozen peas;
  4. Bring to boil and out salt garlic and condiments;
  5. Reduce heat and simmer covered;
  6. When the peas are soft remove from heat;
  7. Process to purée;
  8. Serve with freshly chopped dill

Notes

  1. Use spicy condiments to taste;
  2. When available fresh pea is preferable
