Lasagna Bolognese

Ingredients

  • 400-500 g lasagna sheets (usually 1 ot 2 stadard packs);
  • 500 g beef, minced;
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil;
  • 450 g béchamel sauce;
  • 150 g Parmigiano Cheese, grated;
  • 100 g mozzarella cheese, sliced;
  • 450 g peeled tomatoes;
  • 100 ml white wine;
  • 1 carrot, diced;
  • 1 onion, diced;
  • 1 garlic, diced;
  • 1 tbsp basil, dry
  • Pinch salt;
  • Pinch black pepper

Directions

  1. In a pot with olive oil and some wine sauté onion, garlic, and carrot until soft;
  2. Add the minced beef and cook for 5 minutes at medium-high temperature;
  3. Pour the rest of the white wine and let it evaporate;
  4. Add tomatoes and season with salt, basil, and black pepper then cook half-covered for 5 minutes;
  5. Prepare the lasagna sheets as directed by the manufacturer (please note: the fresh pasta requires no precooking);
  6. Grease the bottom and the sides of your baking tray with some oil and then put the first layer of lasagna sheets;
  7. Garnish with béchamel then add beef sauce and sprinkle with Parmigiano;
  8. Repeat the steps until the ingredients are used;
  9. On the top layer place slices of mozzarella;
  10. Bake at 180℃ until golden brown (15-20 min);
  11. Cut and serve 15 minutes after taking out of the oven.

Notes

AlternativesThe beef sauce in filling of the Lasagna could be substituted with:

  • 300-400 g Pesto sauce;
  • 400 g boiled sliced potatoes and 200 g prosciutto
