Homemade Yogurt

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. yogurt (starter for yogurt);
  • 1 l organic milk;


Equipment:

  • Mixing bowl;
  • Glass or ceramic bowl with lid.

Directions

  1. Boil the milk and set aside to cool to a temperature of about 42-45℃ (tolerable for the little finger);
  2. In a small bowl, carefully mix the yogurt starter with a portion of the warm milk, return everything in the milk, and mix well;
  3. Distribute the mixture evenly among the bowl(s), warmed to the same temperature;
  4. Cover the bowl with a towel (blanket) to retain warmth and leave it for 3-4 hours to ferment;
  5. When you are sure that the milk has fermented, unwrap it and cool/refrigerate it for a few hours according to your needs;
  6. Treat yourself to a glass of homemade yogurt every day.

Notes

Longer fermentation may result in a more sour taste
